The UCL Great Ormond Street Institute of Child Health Library is here to provide a service to ALL trust staff, not just clinical staff. All staff are welcome to use our services, facilities and resources.
To join, bring your GOSH card and some proof of your home address (e.g. driving licence card / recent bank statement / recent utility bill) to the Library between 9.00 - 18.00, Monday-Friday.
Once you have joined, you can access the Library:
- 8.00 - 22.45, Monday - Friday
- 8.00 - 18.45, Saturday and Sunday

Did you know that the Library offers:
- 7 GOSH computers, based in the Library, that can be used on a walk-in basis
- A quiet study room, available in the evenings and at the weekend, with power sockets at every desk and Internet access via the UCL Guest network

- A selection of loanable books relevant to non-clinical GOSH staff (see below)
- Access to a range of multidisciplinary journal databases and full-text journals

Databases
In addition to a range of databases that can be searched for health and medical information, we also have information on many other subject areas. The following databases can searched for information relating to management or administration:
- HMIC (can be accessed from anywhere using an NHS Athens account) - this literature database covers health management and policy, with an emphasis on the UK National Health Service, but also includes Europe
- Health Business Elite (can be accessed from anywhere using an NHS Athens account) - covers healthcare administration and institution management
- ABI/INFORM Collection (can be accessed from dedicated computers in the Library) - a business research database that includes full-text journals, trade publications, market reports, etc.
- Accounting, Tax & Banking Collection (can be accessed from dedicated computers in the Library) - bringing together scholarly journals and other key resources, this collection covers the trends and history influencing important accounting, tax, banking and financial issues of the day
- Amadeus (can be accessed from dedicated computers in the Library) - Amadeus contains comprehensive information on around 19 million companies across Europe. You can use it to research individual companies, search for companies with specific profiles and for analysis
- Business Source Complete (can be accessed from dedicated computers in the Library) - a scholarly business database, providing a collection of bibliographic and full-text content
