UCL Chemistry Mass Spectrometry Facility

In summary the facility provides nominal and accurate mass measurements using ESI, EI modes, mass spectrometry based proteomics, metabolomics and sterolomics.  LC-MS analyses of small molecules and protein/antibody, LC-MS/MS and MSn, GC-MS analyses using EI and CI ionisation modes, GC-Selective Ion Monitoring (SIM) scans and LC-SIMs and MALDI analysis and peptide finger printing.

Mass spectrometry laboratory comprise of the state of art industry-leading instrumentations, available to use for staff and students. The laboratory is housed in LG11 in UCL Chemistry Building. The laboratory deals with more than 30,000 different types of samples per year. The staff of the laboratory develops new analytical techniques and methods and takes part in number of high impact research projects.  The laboratory also routinely performs nominal- or high resolution accurate- mass measurements. As part of sample submission process for these analyses, please complete our mass spectrometry submission form and attach a sample to it. The laboratory has two open-access instruments available for users after completion of the training session, which runs in the mass spectrometry laboratory.

The laboratory is open weekdays from 8 am to 8 pm.
