Yiota-Victoria Phakoukaki

Yiota-Victoria joined UCL in 2018 to complete an MSc in Chemical Process Engineering. During her Master’s thesis she focused on experimental studies of solid-liquid mixing in non-Newtonian media using Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV). Due her enthusiasm on the field of fluid mechanics she returned to UCL in 2019 to commence her PhD sponsored by Johnson and Matthey. She is now focusing on Continuous and Intensified Solvent Extraction in Pharmaceutical Processes using hydrophobic water microemulsions from ionic liquids.
