Teaching Fellow - Maternity Leave
Victor is a Chemical Engineer from Universidad de Salamanca, Spain, and holds other qualifications in environmental science and humanitarian fields. After graduating he worked in corporate R&D (Manager, P&G, UK), and management of water infrastructures (Engineer, Acciona, Spain) and then moved into academia. He obtained a professional doctorate in engineering working for P&G and later joined Imperial College London as visiting researcher working on the numerical simulation of transport phenomena in multiphase flows. After consulting for the oil & gas industry in a start-up company on the optimization heat exchangers networks, Victor joined UCL in 2016 as Postdoctoral research Associate at the Centre for Nature Inspired Engineering. In 2017, he joined the department as Teaching Fellow in a part-time basis to cover a maternity leave in the Process Plant Design Module.
Teaching Interests
Victor is interested in relating back his experience in institutions of a broad range of scale and nature to engage with students and make them aware of the challenges and opportunities ahead of their studies. His teaching interests include:
- Particle technology.
- Fluid mechanics, turbulent flows.
- Multiphase flow.
- Transport phenomena.
- Process heat transfer.
