Robert Le Rossignol Bursary

The Robert Le Rossignol UG Bursary is awarded to a deserving first year undergraduate student and is renewable for a further two years subject to the student’s satisfactory academic performance.

The award is primarily based on financial need and academic merit and is intended to help those from groups historically under-represented in science and engineering careers and within the Department.

Key information

Value: £1,400 per academic year which can be used to cover educational and/or housing costs.

Available to: Eligible students enrolled on an undergraduate programme in Chemical Engineering at UCL. 

Selection criteria:  Financial need and academic merit.

Eligible fee status: UK only 

Eligible department: Chemical Engineering.

Duration: Per year for up to 3 years, subject to successful progression at 65% to the next year of study.

Number of awards: 1  

Additional eligibility criteria: For First Year students only for up to 3 years.

    a) Telling us about yourself,  
    b) Why you applied to study in UCL Chemical Engineering,  
    c) How you plan to use the bursary if you were successful,
    d) Why you deserve the bursary  
  2. Evidence of your financial position by copy of your ‘UCL Bursary Letter’. 

UCAS application forms will also be used as part of the review and selection process.
