Research project
Title: Economically Optimal Integrated Process Design and Control
One of the greatest challenges in chemical engineering is the design of economically optimized new chemical process plants.
Recent work done in this subject attempted to introduce the analysis of process dynamics in the early stages of process design in order to guarantee that parameters such dimensions and a steady state working point result in a plant that can be easily controlled.
The goal of this project is to develop new methodologies to handle integrated process design for complex processes and control structures in order to achieve increased stability and profitability.
