Ramsay Society Dinner 2025 Celebrates Excellence in Chemical Engineering

On Saturday, 1st March 2025, the UCL Department of Chemical Engineering hosted the annual Ramsay Society Dinner at the prestigious St Pancras Renaissance Hotel in London.

This esteemed event brought together students, alumni, staff, special guests and distinguished speakers to celebrate the department’s ongoing commitment to excellence in chemical engineering.

The evening began with a drinks reception, followed by a three-course meal. Attendees enjoyed speeches highlighting the department’s recent achievements and future ambitions. The event also included an awards ceremony, where Prof. Eva Sorensen (Head of Department) and Prof. Vivek Dua (Deputy Head (Education) and Director of Undergraduate Studies) recognised the outstanding accomplishments of undergraduate and postgraduate students and handed out certificates to awardees.

Congratulations to Greg D'Silva, who, in addition to the Kitson Prize, received multiple prestigious awards at the award ceremony, including the esteemed Faculty Medal and Prize for top academic performance, Best Thesis Award for the best Chemical Engineering Year 4 Individual Research Project and the Process Systems Enterprise / UCL Award for the best Chemical Engineering Year 4 Individual Design Project.
