Chemical Engineering Seminar: Insights into Publishing with Nature Portfolio

5 December 2024

UCL Chemical Engineering recently welcomed Dr. Laura Zinke and Dr. Mo Qiao from the Nature Portfolio for a Departmental seminar.

Dr. Laura Zinke and Dr. Mo Qiao, shown with Associate Professor Ryan Wang.

The editorial leaders provided an overview of publishing with the Nature Portfolio for chemical engineers, including teams from Nature Chemical Engineering and Nature Reviews Clean Technology. The presentation covered choosing journals, pitching papers, and the process from submission to publication, as well as editorial processes, peer review, and key qualities editors look for in papers and cover letters. They also explained different article types and opportunities for engineers.
