It is important to achieve a work-life balance, because work has to be sustainable over many years.
Work life balance is based on the fact that your life is composed of various elements, (work, rest, family, hobbies, friends, etc). Work-life balance is about achieving the right mix of all the various components of your life, (neglecting none of them for too long.)
The problem of work-life balance is the fact you feel you are “a limited resource facing an unlimited demand”. You must manage the competing demands of the various aspects of your life. Work life balance is the art of creating harmony; allowing you to be more productive, happy and healthy.
How to achieve work life balance is the subject of this course.
This is open to all UCL Chemical Engineering staff and PhD students but has limited spaces so do sign up to any one of these dates as soon as possible!
Please email Katy Le Lion, UCL Chemical Engineering Departmental Manager, to obtain a password to register for this event.
