Background: Diversify Your Network

“Just like me” networks can have a negative impact on creating diverse, inclusive workplaces. By diversifying networks everyone has a chance to explore new ideas and but also challenge their own beliefs.

Actions: Diversify Your Network

  1. Do a network inventory and think about who would be a great addition to your current network that isn’t ‘just like me’?
  2. Attend an event where diversity will be the topic of discussion. Listen and learn.
  3. Seek out media, including podcasts and blogs, by people who are different from you.
