Treat NMD:Neuromuscular Network
TREAT-NMD is a network
for the neuromuscular field that ensures the
most promising new therapies reach patients as quickly as possible.
Since its
launch in January 2007 the network's focus has been on the development of novel therapeutic
approaches through preclinical development and into the clinic.
ENMC - The European Neuromuscular Centre
The European Neuromuscular Centre (ENMC) was founded in 1992 by a group of European patient associations that dedicated itself to bring together leading researchers and clinicians from all over the world.
Topics of the workshops vary and have included:
- Test results
- Clinical trial readiness
- Preclinical diagnosis and care studies for all neuromuscular diseases (spinal muscular atrophy, Duchenne muscular dystrophy, limb girdle dystrophies and congenital muscular dystrophies)
Dr Quinlivan is involved in many of the workshops hosted by the ENMC, and has co-chaired events such as the first workshop on Adult Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.
