About this event:
The Update in Neuromuscular Disorders covers a wide range of childhood and adult neuromuscular disorders with an emphasis on clinical issues, natural history studies, disease specific treatments and general management.
This popular three-day course is designed for specialists with an interest in neuromuscular diseases, and will also be relevant to anyone wishing to update their knowledge of neuromuscular diseases such as neurology trainees, consultants or other clinicians working with neuromuscular patients.
First 1.5 days:
Paediatric neuromuscular disorders
Themes this year will include:
Diagnostic approach including genetic testing, neurophysiology and MRI, DMD, SMA, cardiomyopathy in NMD, channelopathies in infancy
Second 1.5 days:
Adult neuromuscular disorders.
Themes this year will include:
FSHD, CMT, Channelopathies, Muscle Biopsy, Head drop, mitochondrial disease, respiratory management in NMD, inflammatory neuropathies, myopathy/neuropathy overlap syndromes
CPD credits will be applied for for this event
