Global Responsibility of Engineering Report

14 December 2022

Visiting Professor Shannon Chance conducted the qualitative research which was published in an Engineers Without Borders UK report.

The report looks at the extent to which global responsibility is embedded into engieneering practice. The research, conducted by Shannon Chance, was supported by UCL Centre for Engineering Education colleagues Dr Ines Direito and Professor John Mitchell. The report explores multiple questions including; what is understood by global responsibility in engineering? To what extent do engineers feel it is their responsibility to take action?

The report, which was published at the end of November 2022, is visially and content rich, with case studies, photographs and illustrations. You can find out more about the report on Professor Shannon Chance's blog.
