26 February 2025
CLEO Systems, a participant in Cohort 4 of the CDI Impact Accelerator programme, has been announced as a founding partner in the UK’s first dedicated Electronic Patient Records (EPR) Network.

CLEO Systems, a participant in Cohort 4 of the CDI Impact Accelerator programme, has been announced as a founding partner in the UK’s first dedicated Electronic Patient Records (EPR) Network. Spearheaded by the Health Innovation Consortium (HIC), this pioneering initiative aims to accelerate digital transformation across the NHS by fostering collaboration between EPR suppliers, healthcare providers, and policymakers.
Advancing NHS Digital Transformation
During the CDI Impact Accelerator programme, CLEO Systems focused on scaling the technical infrastructure of its CLEO SOLO EPS electronic prescribing solution, ensuring it could meet the growing demand from NHS Trusts and support future expansion. This work enabled CLEO to strengthen its digital solutions for urgent, community, and secondary care outpatient settings, ultimately enhancing the efficiency and quality of healthcare services across England.
As part of the UK’s first dedicated EPR Network, CLEO is now building on this momentum. By creating a centralised platform for knowledge sharing, innovation, and problem-solving, the EPR Network will drive the integration of new technologies, address interoperability challenges, and further support NHS England’s broader digital transformation goals. CLEO’s SOLO EPS solution integrates seamlessly with all EPR systems, delivering key benefits such as an improved patient experience, the elimination of lost or stolen prescriptions, and enhanced clinical safety.
Richard Burton, CLEO Systems, commented: "We are delighted to join the UK’s first EPR Network as a founding partner. This initiative represents a unique opportunity to collaborate with key industry stakeholders to address the critical challenges in healthcare digitisation. Together, we aim to continue to deliver impactful solutions that improve patient outcomes and advance the digital maturity of the NHS."
Shaping the Future of Digital Transformation
As a leader in healthcare technology and a previous sponsor of the EPR Summit, CLEO Systems remains committed to driving meaningful change in healthcare. By joining this ground-breaking network, CLEO Systems aims to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of digital transformation across the NHS.
Hadleigh Stollar, Health Innovation Consortium, added: "We are thrilled to welcome CLEO Systems to this transformational initiative. Their expertise and commitment to advancing digital healthcare will be instrumental as we work together to create a more connected and efficient NHS."
From CDI Alumni to Industry Leaders
CLEO Systems' journey from a participant in the CDI Impact Accelerator to a founding partner in the EPR Network marks a significant milestone in its commitment to digital healthcare innovation. Through its work in the accelerator, CLEO successfully scaled its electronic prescribing solution, strengthening its capacity to integrate with NHS systems and drive future advancements. Now, as part of the EPR Network, CLEO is further solidifying its role as a key player in the transformation of digital healthcare across the UK.
Congratulations to CLEO Systems on reaching this pivotal point in their journey toward enhancing healthcare efficiency, patient safety, and interoperability within the NHS.
