Whitehawk Camp Community Archaeology Project Highly Commended!
We are delighted to report that the Project was highly commended in the Council for British Archaeology's 2015 Marsh Award for Community Archaeology.
"This project provided a great example of an engaging community project. 136 people volunteered on the project, and outside of the particpants it engaged the wider community with regular updates on its website in addition to being active on social media in local press, radio and even television. The experience they gained was also used to benefit other community initiatives, leading to them being successful in their goals too."
