Meet the School of Management Team

Kate Gault, Deputy Head

Kate is one of the Deputy Heads at UCL Careers and has specific responsibility for overseeing the Careers provision within UCL’s School of Management, across both Careers Consultant and Employer Engagement teams.

Kate’s background prior to working in higher education is in advertising. Here, she spent 10 years working both agency side and client side, leading the development of national campaigns for major brand, charity and government clients.

Aled Williams, PGT Team Leader

As PGT Team Leader in UCL’s School of Management, Aled oversees the postgraduate taught (PGT) arm of the School’s dedicated Careers provision, and line manages the Careers Consultants and Employer Engagement professionals within the PGT Careers team. Prior to joining UCL, Aled worked with BPP University post-graduates in Law and Management as Careers Manager. He also worked at Nottingham and Cardiff Universities in Careers roles as well as a part-time tutor in Cardiff University’s Welsh for Adults Centre.

Tina Whittle, Senior Employer Engagement Officer

Tina works in partnership with Employers to deliver a programme of events for School of Management Msc students. Prior to UCL she worked for a recruitment consultancy firm where she was responsible for graduate and experienced hire recruitment.

Carly Cheeseman, Senior Employer Engagement Officer

Carly works in partnership with employers and alumni to deliver a programme of events for BSc Information Management for Business students. She manages and builds relationships with the employers that students aspire to work with, and develops events and activities to help students find out more about their sectors of interest and the career opportunities that are available.

This is Carly’s first role in higher education. She has over 16 years of experience of working within HR teams as a recruitment specialist (including almost half of that duration in the not-for-profit sector), most recently within publishing.

Priya Chauhan, Senior Employer Engagement Officer (School of Management for BSc/MSc Management Science)

Priya manages and develops first-class relationships with existing employer and alumni contacts within sectors. Priya designs programme of informative and educative activities for Management Science students which include alumni events/workshops, employer/alumni mentoring opportunities and exclusive internship partnerships, and also builds and maintain strategic relationships with key stakeholders.

I have a proven track record of Employer Engagement, Recruitment, Selection and Events Management. I am outgoing, hardworking and committed who has both excellent experience in both people and project management. Over many years I have built strong relationships with employers to help build their brand in recruiting students and graduates. I successfully completed my MA in Intercultural Communication which helped me to gain an in depth understanding of cultural diversity issues and communication across cultures. I completed my undergraduate in Business Studies and my final year project was based on entrepreneurship. I have considerable experience of setting up and delivering projects which included setting up an employment service and overseeing a volunteering service. I am actively involved within community through my roles as a Non-Executive Board Member/Equality and Diversity Champion at Be Active and a Board Trustee for Active Luton. Both organisations are to ensure communities are engaged in sports and physical activity.   

Nida Siddiqui, Senior Employer Engagement Officer

Nida is an experienced strategist in the field of community and employer relations with a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Master of Arts in Journalism. After 10+ years working in various industries including Finance, Media, Journalism, Tech, and Higher Education, Nida moved to the UK from Canada and joined UCL as a Senior Employer Engagement Officer. Her role involves connecting with students and employers, and building out the Careers and Professional Development programme for PGT students at the School of Management.

Mark De Freitas, Careers Consultant

Mark

Mark provides support to IMB students and has worked at UCL since 2012. Prior to this, Mark was a solicitor in the City. In addition to this, he has direct experience of a number of other sectors, including FMCG.

Mark holds qualifications in careers advice/guidance and has experience of working with a number of other departments at UCL. He has also worked for an educational charity in Central Europe.

Nikki Martin, PGT Careers Consultant

Nikki is a qualified Careers Consultant working in the Careers Team with Postgraduate Taught Students in the School of Management. Supporting students with one to one guidance appointments, workshops and events.

Nikki’s previous experience is with students and graduates in higher education across all course areas and as a creative industry specialist advisor. She has also worked in the voluntary and public sector.

Vivian Song, PGT Careers Consultant

Vivian is a Careers Consultant working with PGT students in the School of Management, supporting students with 1:1 career coaching sessions and workshops. Previously Vivian was working in Tech Recruiting and HR Consulting in international companies like Google, Meta and Steinbach & Partner over the last 10 years, both in China and UK.

Jing Huang, Careers Consultant

Jing joined UCL School of Management in 2024 as a Careers Consultant, providing support to BSc/Msc Management Science students. Her aim is to ensure that students have access to personal support in their own careers journey. Prior to joining UCL, Jing worked as a strategy consultant advising global pharmaceutical and biotech companies on their Market Access & Pricing strategies.
