Global careers and opportunities

Discover international programmes, scholarships, internships and graduate pathways that help UCL students and graduates gain experience abroad, build intercultural skills, and grow global networks.

Many countries offer structured programmes, scholarships, and graduate pathways designed to attract international talent. These opportunities allow UCL graduates to gain professional experience abroad, develop intercultural skills, and build global networks at the start of their careers. Below are some of the key schemes and pathways available to UCL students and recent graduates.

Opportunities

Here are some global opportunities and schemes you can explore. We’ll continue to add more options as new programmes become available, so check back regularly to see what’s on offer:

Hong Kong Top Talent Pass Scheme (TTPS)

The Hong Kong Top Talent Pass Scheme (TTPS) offers UCL graduates and professionals a unique chance to live and work in one of Asia’s most dynamic cities. With no job offer required upfront, the scheme opens doors to international career opportunities, intercultural experience, and global networks at the start of your career. The Hong Kong Talent Engage Office provides information and support for international graduates interested in working in Hong Kong, including guidance on the Top Talent Pass Scheme (TTPS). They also host events, seminars, and online careers fairs to support international talent in exploring employment opportunities in Hong Kong.

On 14 January 2026 (12:45–14:15), UCL Careers is pleased to welcome the Director of Hong Kong Talent Engage Office (HKTE), Mr. Felix Chan, as a guest speaker for our webinar “Discover Hong Kong: Where International Talent Thrives.”

Hong Kong Science & Technology Parks (HKSTP)

HKSTP offers a range of graduate entry routes into Hong Kong’s innovation and technology sector. Depending on the programme, graduates may work with tech start-ups, R&D labs, or STEM-focused organisations. These schemes offer training, mentorship, and the opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge projects in a major Asian innovation hub.

In summer time, it runs a programme to recruit global talent offering paid opportunities in Hong Kong for students worldwide. UCL students can access these roles via UCL Careers Talent Bank Scheme.
