Students Recognise ICS Staff for Excellence in Teaching

The Student Choice Awards are a way for students to thank amazing members of staff, and let them know that their hard work makes a difference. Students’ feedback about the kind of education that works for them also enables the Union to work with UCL to spread examples of best-practice.

Exceptional Feedback

This award gives students the chance to thank members of staff who provide constructive, useful feedback on their assessment and learning, helping them to progress and succeed.

Dr Frankel (left) commented: “To have your students express thanks for your work is a wonderful and extremely valued experience”.

Petros Syrris (right) added: “I am delighted to have been nominated for this award. At ICS we make a sustained effort to support the academic, professional and personal development of our students”.

Dr Frankel is a module lead for Microvascular Biology, and is Careers lead for the MSc in Cardiovascular Science. He is also the Module co-lead for research projects and Assistant Deputy Programme Director for the ICS iBSc Cardiovascular Science Programme.

Dr Syrris is Co-Director of the Cardiovascular Science MSc programme and lead for MSc and iBSc Cardiovascular Science Modules.
