An international team of experts from Britain, America and Argentina are training delegates from Cuba in the use of cardiac magnetic resonance. This is a technology that facilitates diagnosis and treatment of heart disease.
“In this first intervention, what we are doing is training the local medical staff to carry out the cardiac resonance study with this abbreviated protocol, and that way more patients can benefit here at the Institute of Havana,” explained Professor James Moon of UCL’s Institute Of Cardiovascular Science.
