Unconscious bias training
The Cancer Institute Athena Swan Self-Assessment Team, led by Prof Adele Fielding, has organised for all Cancer Institute staff two 90-minutes Lectures on Unconscious Bias.
The aim of each session is to provide participants with an understanding of the nature of Unconscious Bias and how it impacts on individual and group attitudes, behaviours and decision-making processes.
Lecture content
- The source and function of unconscious bias
- How unconscious bias impacts on decision-making and relationships in organisations
- Strategies and techniques for reducing personal unconscious bias, as well as the unconscious bias that manifests in teams and across the organisation
Sessions will take place on the following days:
