Professor Matt Lechner

Research programme

Graduate supervision

Mr Lechner currently supervises five PhD students and has supervised over 10 more at UCL, with one winning the Dean's Prize. He lectures on numerous courses, with a focus on the translation of teaching innovation. He is the Course Director of clinical courses which use innovative 3D modelling technology for teaching and surgical training, and was one of the first surgeons at UCL who has been awarded an Advanced Higher Education Fellowship.

He is willing to hear from prospective students with at least an upper second-class degree.

The centre functions as one group, with a number of research strands. This includes research related to: Cancer 2.0, Smell disorders, Rhinology, Novel Surgical Technology and Head & Neck Cancer.
