Would you like to get involved in our research? We are keen to hear from patients, donors, carers and members of the public interested to add your views, opinions and the 'lived experience' to research.

UCLH Patient and Public Involvement

Patient and Public Involvement (PPI)

The involvement of patients and public in research, as active partners, is fundamental to our work. The demands of patients for better outcomes and treatment options drive the research outlined in all four of our themes. We aim to ensure that patient and public involvement in research is central to all stages in the development of novel treatment approaches at the UCL Blood and Transplant Research Unit (UCL BTRU) in Stem Cells and Immunotherapies.

We work closely with two Lay Representatives who guide PPI in research at a strategic level. Our dedicated UCL BTRU Lay Panel and other patient groups provide valuable insights on projects specific to research at the UCL BTRU.

We are currently looking for 2-3 new members to join our Lay Panel. Please see link section below for more information. We look forward to hearing from you, if you are interested.

Please look at the events page for any upcoming opportunities to meet team members and to hear more about elements of our work.

If you have any questions about Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement (PPIE) at the UCL BTRU, please contact Linda von Neree (PPIE Coordinator) at l.vonneree@ucl.ac.uk or 020 3108 7641
