UCL Cancer Institute Seminar Series

Dr Samuel Bakhoum, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Centre, New York, presents: The CINful cancer genome: mechanisms and consequences of chromosomal instability in tumour evolution.

UCL Cancer Institute, Paul O'Gorman Building
Chromosomal instability (CIN) is a hallmark of human neoplasms. Our recent understanding of the mechanisms of CIN in cancer has enabled us to dissect its role in tumour evolution. It is now increasingly evident that CIN is not a bystander event in tumorigenesis but it plays a critical role in clonal heterogeneity, drug resistance, and metastasis.
Hosted by: Professor Charles Swanton
