Phil Evans is Professor of Medical Radiation Imaging at University of Surrey and is head of their Centre for Vision Speech and Signal Processing (CVSSP). He is also part of the National Physical Laboratory’s Metrology for Medical Physics Group and holds visiting appointment at Royal Surrey NHS Foundation Trust.

He was previously Professor of Medical Physics at the Institute of Cancer Research and Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust and he served on NIHR CTRad Executive group and been advisor to IAEA on implementation of Image Guided Radiotherapy.

Phil’s areas of research interest include medical imaging applied to cancer, x-ray and proton radiotherapy.
