The LMCB together with the UCL Cancer Domain are developing a UCL Bioimaging Interest Group. UCL has world-leading imaging facilities, that should allow unprecedented breakthroughs in discovery and translational science. Sharing knowledge, together with the development of joint initiatives and analysis tools should greatly accelerate the discovery process.

Initially, the Bioimaging Interest Group will take place virtually, once a month and will consist of two short (~20 min) presentations on topics related to imaging cells and tissues across spatial and temporal scales, and the analysis and curation of the resulting data sets, with an aim to initiate discussions, share expertise and foster collaborations. The group will also organise a more formal one-day annual meeting, to bring our community together and enjoy presentations from UCL and external speakers.

Speakers

  • Dr Jemima Burden:  Introducing SEM array tomography – a new system at UCL
  • Dr Romain Laine: Super-resolution microscopy: the good, the bad and the ugly – What should you use?

Please register your interest in joining the Bioimaging Interest Group. You will then receive joining instruction for the event, a day or two before the event.
