The Inspire: Pathways to Success seminars are a great opportunity for undergraduate and postgraduate students to hear from inspiring role models working at different stages and different careers in the field of medical science. Talks are not focussed on research work but rather individual career tracks in STEM, followed by informal discussion.
Dr Nnenna Kanu is a senior research associate in the Cancer Institute, working with Prof. Charles Swanton towards understanding tumour heterogeneity and how it impacts individual patients’ outcomes. She began her academic journey here at UCL with an undergraduate degree in Biochemistry before doing post-doctoral research at the London Research Institute. She teaches in many of the MSc degrees at the Cancer Institute and also tries to promote science as a career choice in schools across London.
