About the awards

This is the second year of the awards which celebrate the outstanding efforts of our extraordinary community of alumni volunteers who are achieving remarkable things across the globe.

Alumni volunteers give their valuable time and expertise in a range of roles, enabling us to build a brighter future for our university and its students. This is all in support of our goal to reach 250,000 volunteer hours as part of the campaign for UCL: It’s All Academic.

Last year’s winners included Dr Lois Haruna-Cooper, who generously donates her time to UCLMS’s Target Medicine widening participation efforts and the New York Alumni Club who bring the UCL alumni community in the tri-state area together. A special Lifetime Achievement Award went to the UCL London Group for their exceptional efforts over the last twenty years.

The awards will be presented at the UCL Volunteering Services Unit Ceremony, at UCL in May 2019, and any international winners will be represented at the event.
