Photography

Photography is our window onto life at UCL. Through it, our campus should feel alive, channelling our community and the energy that comes from being at the heart of one of the world's greatest cities.

Isolation

Don’t isolate subjects from their surroundings. We want to show our subjects within the context of UCL and its spaces.

Resolution

Don’t use low resolution photography. Always choose high quality images.

Tints

Don’t darken images by adding tints. Keep things accessible by using text boxes instead.

Don’t convert our brand imagery to black and white. Use vibrant, natural colours.

Stock illustrations

Try to avoid stock illustrations, as they are often difficult to make feel on brand.

AI people

Don’t depict our students using AI-generated imagery. Always use real people.
