Co-branding and partnerships
We work with numerous partners in lots of different ways. It’s important to represent all parties appropriately, so the relationships are clear in the minds of your audiences.
Please note that you cannot use the UCL200 logo for brand partnerships. We also do not permit endorsement of any third party or supplier.
Using our logo in a line-up
When creating co-branded and partner logo line-ups using our logo, follow these rules to create a balanced, harmonious composition.
If the audience is likely to know us well, use our main logo. Alternatively our full-name logo works best for global partnerships and audiences unfamiliar with UCL.
The same spacing rules apply whether our logo leads or not.
Main logo
When UCL is the lead partner or brand, our main logo should be used first in the line-up.
A space equivalent to the width of our portico symbol should be used between all logos in the line-up.
Partner logos should be scaled in such a way that they are of equal visual weight when compared to the UCL logo.
Full-name logo
Use our full-name logo first in the line-up when UCL is the lead partner or brand on a global project, or in a context where audiences may not be familiar with us.
Wherever our logo sits in the line-up, a space equivalent to the width of our portico symbol should be used between all logos.
Partner logos should align with the wordmark and symbol of our full-name logo within the alignment row. Additional height from taller logos or full names can fall into the space above or below this row, so that all logos feel visually balanced.
Not sure which version of our logo to use?
See our logo guidelines to work out whether our main or full-name logo is best for your project.

Typography
Our brand typeface is unmistakeably UCL: designed especially for us, and according to our founding principle of being accessible to all.
Colour
Our signature purple palette is one of our brand’s most powerful ingredients. It should feature prominently in all our communications – not just the logo.
Graphic pillars
Inspired by the graduating pillars in our logo, these graphics represent progress and movement. Use them in any design, from captions and text boxes, to patterns that bring our brand to life.
Animations
Wherever you are in UCL, there's a sense of dynamism and possibility. Our animations help you add it to your videos, events and presentations.
Photography
Photography is our window onto life at UCL. Through it, our campus should feel alive, channelling our community and the energy that comes from being at the heart of one of the world's greatest cities.
