- UCL is best in the UK for Psychology, Psychiatry and Neuroscience according to research power, with more than 90% of our research rated as world-leading (4*) or internationally excellent (3*) (REF 2021).
- UCL is 1st in Europe and 2nd in the world for neuroscience and behaviour, based entirely on quantitative data relating to scientific papers (2023 National Taiwan University report).
- UCL is 1st in Europe and 2nd worldwide for citations in neuroscience and behaviour, with more than twice as many published papers as any other European university (InCites Essential Scientific Indicators 2023).

Our facilities
We have one of the strongest and broadest clinical dementia programmes internationally, with major strength in unmatched clinical cohorts, expertise and biological resources. Our unique academic health science partnerships provide us with access to a patient population of over six million, including the longest continually running major birth cohort study in the world.
Our research platforms include imaging, biobank cells and DNA, big data platforms, high throughput technology, computational neuroscience, molecular biology, disease modelling, genetics, and the Drug Discovery Institute.
