PhD COVID-19 carers support scheme

The Faculty of Brain Sciences has launched a PhD COVID-19 carers support scheme, targeted at students with caring responsibilities who are studying for a PhD or professional doctorate.

The main aim of the fund is to improve the support experienced by these students around childcare and caring responsibilities during the pandemic.

This fund sits along side the UCL COVID-19 Career Support Scheme (CCSS) - an equity and inclusion-based response to the understanding that the pandemic has impacted individuals in our community differently.

What does the fund provide?

The fund provides up to £300 financial assistance to support carers who have acquired additional caring responsibilities during the pandemic, such as home schooling or having extra-caring responsibilities for an elderly or any other dependant due to COVID-19. The total fund available is £7,500.
