Siemens Healthineers
Dr Ginami will introduce some of the sustainability goals and initiatives being taken by Siemens Healthineers, a supplier of radiology and imaging equipment for research and healthcare.
As healthcare continues to evolve, sustainability has taken on an increasingly central role. Beyond traditional clinical priorities, it directly impacts both environmental outcomes and operational efficiency. Radiology departments, characterised by the continuous use of energy-intensive diagnostic equipment, are among the most significant contributors to hospital energy consumption. Improving sustainability in this context is therefore not only environmentally imperative but also economically advantageous, helping to shape more responsible and forward-looking healthcare systems.
Siemens Healthineers is committed to advancing technology and fostering collaborative initiatives that enhance the sustainability of healthcare. Our aim is to make healthcare technology more environmentally responsible, cost-effective, equitable, and accessible.
