There are four sub-scales within the CORE fidelity scale. Each sub-scale contains several items, which can be accessed by clicking on the links below.
The sections below provide descriptions of each item of the CORE fidelity scale, as well as useful information and guidance on how to meet each criteria. For more information on scoring each criteria and to conduct a fidelity review, see the CORE fidelity scale PDF guide.
Referrals and access.
Items 1-10, including: how quick and easy it is to refer to the CRT, who can refer, early discharge and gatekeeping, and how easy it is for service users and carers to contact the CRT once they have been accepted into the service.
Content and delivery of care.
Items 11-26, including: assessment, provision of information to service users and carers, engaging and supporting carers, medication, physical health, psychological interventions, social and practical problems, therapeutic relationships, ending care and aftercare.
Staffing and team procedures.
Items 27-36, including: staffing levels, multi-disciplinary teams, risk assessment, communication, equality and diversity and consistency of staff.
Location and timing of help.
Items 37-39, including: alternatives to hospital admission, frequency of visits and location of visits.
