The Marie Curie Palliative Care Research Department (MCPCRD), established 1999, brings together experts from multiple disciplines using a wide range of inclusive methods. We work together with diverse partners to transform experiences, address challenges, and build equity in caring, dying, and grieving for people affected by serious illness.

Critical care admissions for people with dementia are increasing in their last year of life
Researchers from two London universities have found that while critical care admissions for people with dementia are going down overall, they are increasing during the last year of life.
