Clinical, Educational and Health Psychology
Our research themes include society, psychological therapy, neuroscience, health and wellbeing, and children and development.

Experimental Psychology
We investigate the psychological and biological basis of behaviour, from a cellular level through brain systems, cognition, computational and social levels.

Institute of Cognitive Neuroscience
We undertake world-leading research in the human mind and brain, uniting researchers from different disciplines such as psychology, neurology and anatomy.

Language and Cognition
Our multidisciplinary research focuses on human speech, language and communication, as well as the interrelationship of language with other cognitive systems.

Linguistics
Our research investigates the nature and origin of language, its acquisition by children and its use in communication, integrating theoretical and experimental work.

Speech Hearing and Phonetic Sciences
Our research focus looks at the perception and production of speech, as well as problems caused by hearing impairment or by atypical perceptual and cognitive development.

UCL Interaction Centre
We are a world-leading centre for human-computer interaction teaching and research, investigating interactions between people and technology.

Postgraduate research degrees
We offer cutting-edge resources such as extensive laboratories for research in speech and language, perception and cognition, a centre for brain imaging and a behavioural neuroscience laboratory.

Our facilities
We offer a range of cutting-edge research facilities and laboratories for research into the fields of mind, behaviour and language.
