PALS Green Day is an annual celebratory event dedicated to spotlighting the remarkable efforts of the PALS Green Impact team and promoting awareness of their impactful initiatives.
Get Ready for PALS Green Day 2025!
PALS Green Day is back for 2025, bringing another exciting lineup of activities, talks, and sustainability-focused fun!

- Location: Bedford Way Common Room
This year’s highlights include:
- A talk on careers in sustainability from Daniel Hall, Sustainable UCL (4pm)
- Insights from the PALS Green Impact team on our initiatives and successes
- Free veggie food for all to enjoy
- A chance to plant your own chilli seeds and take them home
- Dedicated "Take the Stairs" initiative stall - come to our stall to fill out our online form about stair usage in 26 BW & AH and get a free coffee
- #PALSGreenDay TikTok competition - with prizes to be won
- Box for green ideas or suggestions for future student campaigns like the PALS Walk to the Moon
- Information stall about cycling routes to UCL and ride the cycleways with Fred
- A student vlog competition – prizes to be won!

A big thank you to everyone who attended and took part in Green Day 2024!
This year's PALS Green Day took place on Thursday 21 March 2024, featuring a fun, engaging, and informative programme with a wide range of activities. Participants enjoyed the PALS Green quiz run by PALS students, a seed planting station, and a veggie food stand. Other highlights included a photography competition, the announcement of the PALS Sustainability Award winner, and a screening of Denizen, a film by PALS BSc Psychology student Toby Nash.
Visitors also took part in a clothes swap, spun the Green Wheel of Fortune, explored Green Impact posters, and exchanged old shoes for a free coffee. The event featured an interactive Psychology of Climate Change module, Sabine’s recycling stall, a bike repair station, and an electrical item repair booth.
Thank you once again to everyone who made Green Day 2024 a success!
Big thanks to everyone who turned up and participated in Green Day 2023.
The day kicked off at 26 Bedford Way with exclusively vegetarian food being served throughout the day. There was also a book swap and the famous Green Imapact Wheel of Fortune which chose which green initative you would be partaking in for the following week!
Later in the Day over at Chandler House we had a joyous evening of where students and staff alike helped ot plant up flowers for Chandler House garden. We even had chilli seeds to plant up and take away to grow with Hassan from the Bedford Way Cafe pledging to except grown chillis for a cup of tea or coffee once they come into fruition!
After all the hard work in the Garden guests enjoyed vegetatian food washed down with Toast ale made form left over bread.
Later in the evening BSc Psychology student Toby Nash presented his trailer for his impactful documentry on sustainability.

The annual 2021 UCL PALS Green Day will be on 24 March. Expect a jam-packed programme of events including talks, virtual veggie cookalongs, green wheel of zoom, seed planting, green quiz, bird-tracking, winterwatch... and loads more! Read more here.
