Prof Jenny Crinion and Prof Alexander Leff are conducting a number of research projects. These aim to further develop our understanding of aphasia and to investigate different assessments and therapy approaches.

If you or other colleagues deal with people with aphasia who might be interested in taking part in a research project, you may want to alert them to these opportunities.

How can my patient be referred to your clinic?

Referral for the initial clinic appointment, will need to be processed electronically by the patient’s GP or hospital consultant.

Will my patient receive speech and language therapy from this clinic?

Yes. Also some of the research projects do involve therapy studies but this is not the same as NHS speech and language therapy.

What should I do if I (myself and colleagues) want to hear more about research projects to?

Prof Jenny Crinion and Prof Alexander Leff can discuss with you and/or your patient any research projects that they may be interested in. We are also happy to come and talk to you and your colleagues about the research projects in UCL. Contact Prof Jenny Crinion to arrange a date.
