  • Nine UCL Professors listed in the Ophthalmologist Power List 2026

The Ophthalmologist Power List 2026 includes nine individuals from our institute who made a significant contribution in the field of ophthalmology.

Congratulations to Professors of Ophthalmology Gus Gazzard, Adnan Tufail and Anthony Khawaja and to Professor of Artificial Medical Intelligence Pearse Keane for being featured in the top 10. 

Congratulations are extended to:

  • Professor of Ophthalmology and Ocular Oncology Mandeep Sagoo
  • Professor of Molecular Ophthalmology Mariya Moosajee
  • Professor of Ophthalmology Keith Barton

This annual list celebrates the role of leading clinicians, researchers, and innovators in shaping the future of eye health care and treatment. It also highlights academic excellence, while reflecting current trends in the field, including the growing importance of artificial intelligence (AI), sustainable eye care practices, and personalised treatment approaches.
