Eligibility:
To be considered for the prize, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- The research must primarily focus on BSL linguistics.
- The work must be published in a peer-reviewed journal or as an authored book.
- The publication must be within the last two years.
- Applicants must be the first author or the sole author of the work.
- Applicants should be early-career researchers (defined as within seven years of completing their PhD or Master’s degree).
- Deaf researchers are strongly encouraged to apply.
Application Requirements:
- A one-page CV.
- Up to 500 words explaining the significance of the research.
- A link to the published paper.
Prize Timeline:
- Submission Deadline: End of May 2025.
- Winner Announcement: July 2025.
- The winner will also be invited to give a talk at DCAL (available on Zoom).
- The winner will present their research at DCAL, receive a certificate of recognition, and a £500 prize.
