The Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology (ARVO) is the largest eye and vision research organisation in the world, with a global membership of nearly 12,000 researchers from over 60 countries.
The Joanne G. Angle Award celebrates an outstanding leader who has made significant contributions in support of ARVO's mission to advance research worldwide into understanding the visual system and preventing, treating and curing its disorders.
Professor Sir Peng Tee Khaw is Professor of Glaucoma and Ocular Healing at the UCL Institute of Ophthalmology and Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon at Moorfields Eye Hospital, London UK. He is also Co-Director of the National Institute for Health and Care Research Specialist Biomedical Research Centre in Ophthalmology at Moorfields Eye Hospital and UCL Institute of Ophthalmology.
