The event held on July 24th 2024, celebrated the achievements of staff and students across UCL who are making a real contribution to the University’s sustainability agenda.

Kathryn Brown OBE, Director of Climate Change and Evidence at the Wildlife Trusts and UCL Alumnus, delivered a keynote speech at the Ceremony, and was joined by some fantastic speakers from across UCL: Jason Clarke, Assistant Director of Sustainability, Sustainable UCL; Prof. Mark Maslin, Pro-Vice Provost for the Grand Challenge of the Climate Crisis; Goksu Danaci, President, Students' Union UCL; Dr Cathy Elliot, Associate Professor (Teaching) and Vice Dean (Education) of the Faculty of Social & Historical Sciences.

This year’s Ceremony welcomed nominees and award winners from across UCL, including nominations for the Awards celebrating UCL’s outstanding sustainability champions, and the teams participating in Green Impact and LEAF. The LEAF and Green Impact awards were presented by Andrea Hodgetts and Daniel Hall, UCL Sustainability leads for LEAF and Green Impact respectively.
