UCL Institute of Neurology is pleased to report on another successful set of inaugural lectures held on 23rd November 2017.

- Professor Maria Thom (Professor of Neuropathology) “Identifying diagnostic and prognostic neuropathology biomarkers in focal epilepsies”
This is the fifth set of lectures the Institute has hosted so far this year.
The final lectures in 2017 are on 12th December 2017
“My research work in the field of epilepsy neuropathology, aiming to identify biomarkers and causes of sudden death in epilepsy, has been made possible through working alongside the exemplary and enthusiastic team of neurologists, neurosurgeons, neuropsychologists as well as the neuroscientists in the Department of Clinical and Experimental Epilepsy and Neuropathology. It has been my great privilege to be involved in this research, which is ultimately dependent on the altruism of the many patients and next of kin who donate tissue for Epilepsy research’” Professor Maria Thom
