Stipend/Fees: The studentship is funded for three years and will commence on 22nd September 2017. It includes tuition fees and the student will receive a minimum tax free stipend per annum of £21,500, increasing by 3% every year.
The studentship is open to all nationalities, however is subject to University’s admissions requirements for PhD study.
The studentship will cover stipend and tuition fees for 3 years.
Duties and responsibilities
The Department of Clinical Neurosciences, based at the Royal Free Campus is one of the eight research departments of the UCL Institute of Neurology at Queen Square. The Head of the Department is Professor Anthony H V Schapira
Key requirements
Applications are invited from UK and EU nationals, residing in UK.
The project will be suitable for a student with a BSc in a Biology related discipline.
Applicants should have or expect to receive a first class or upper second class honours degree and should be ordinarily resident in the UK or EU. A Masters degree, knowledge and laboratory experience would be an advantage, particularly in the area of Parkinson disease.
Initially the student will enroll for the MPhil degree and will be to a PhD degree to assess the student’s ability to complete their PhD programme.
The student will be required to submit a full research proposal to the UCL Research Committee for approval.
