Congratulations to Anje Wessels, a recent graduate of MSc Speech
and Language Sciences, who has been awarded this year's British Aphasiology Society
Student Essay Prize.
This national competition is open to all universities and the prize is awarded for the best essay related to aphasia. Anje’s essay addresses how “recovery from aphasia is a function of many interacting factors”. The Society noted that the result was unanimous and congratulated Anje for her excellent piece of work.
The British Aphasiology Society is a national interest group formed to foster the development of the study of aphasia, an acquired language disorder that affects our ability to speak, read or write language.
