33QS Basement Lecture Theatre

33 QS Basement Lecture Theatre is a modern clinical lecture theatre in Queen Square with a foyer area for catering.

Located in the basement of 33 Queen Square, 33 QS Basement Lecture Theatre is a large clinical lecture theatre, which features modern audiovisual equipment that has both UCL and UCLH networked PC's along with laptop connectivity. 33LT also enables seamless hybrid meetings via Teams or Zoom, and has dedicated live streaming and/or recording of your meeting or event (managed by Medical Illustration). 

Queen Square staff or external service users should book a handover at least 24hrs prior to any lecture, meeting or event, which takes no more than 15-20mins, in which all aspects are covered and any technical questions discussed. To book your handover, or for further questions, please email ion.medicalillustration@ucl.ac.uk and include your contact details along with date and time of your confirmed booking.

  • Crestron touch screen for media source and room control
  • UCL and UCLH networked PC
  • Hybrid meeting connectivity via both PC’s or connected laptop
  • HDMI and USB-C cable for laptop connectivity + USB-A cable for laptop hybrid meeting microphone connectivity
  • Wi-Fi connectivity – UCL Eduroam & UCL Guest
  • Microphones that send audio simultaneously to both hybrid meeting software and PA system – lectern x2, handheld x2 and lapel x2
  • UCL Lecturecast
  • Independant recording and/or live streaming managed by Medical Illustration (for more information click here)
  • Hearing loop (induction loop)

Lecture Theatre Capacity:

  •   192 seats + 4 wheelchair spaces

Lecture Theatre Features:

  • Fully accessible wheelchair access for both attendee and speaker
  • Foyer area for catering with six tables (only)
  • Wall mounted poster boards in foyer area
  • Cloak room

Medical Illustration doesn't make or deal with any room bookings on behalf of service users.

UCL staff can login to CMISGo and make bookings required for; 33QS Basement Lecture Theatre (33LT), Gilliatt Lecture Theatre (GLT) and Foyer Seminar Room (FSR). UCLH and GOSH staff wanting to book 33QS Basement Lecture Theatre (33LT), Gilliatt Lecture Theatre (GLT) and Foyer Seminar Room (FSR) must use the dedicated Queen Square room booking form.
