The Specialist NHS Aphasia Clinic has been established to provide therapy and advice to people with aphasia and to speech and language therapists.

The Specialist NHS Aphasia Clinic has been established to provide therapy and advice to people with aphasia and to speech and language therapists. The clinic is a partnership between the neurology service, National Hospital of Neurology and Neurosurgery, UCLH NHS Foundation Trust and the University College London.
It is coordinated, by:
• Prof Jenny Crinion - Speech and language therapist who specialises in aphasia, and is a Wellcome Senior Clinical Fellow.
• Prof Alexander Leff - Consultant Neurologist who specialises in cognitive and language problems in stroke, dementia and other neurological diseases.
Jenny and Alex are also conducting a number of research projects that aim to further develop our understanding of aphasia and to investigate different assessment and therapy approaches (click here for The Intensive Comprehensive Aphasia Programme).
