More than just a gut feeling: Does the gut microbiome influence decision making - first evidence from a synbiotic intervention study
Abstract: In this talk, I provide first evidence that a 7-week synbiotic intervention improved different metabolic processes and through it participants’’ health. Interestingly, however, these changes were not accompanied by an improvement in participants’ decision making quality: Across three domains (social, financial, and dietary decision making), participants made less analytical decisions as compared to the placebo group after the intervention.
