Industry Masterclass in Drug Discovery and Development
We are delighted to invite you to a one-day Industry Drug Discovery Bootcamp hosted before AAIC 2026 in London and in conjunction with the 75th Anniversary of UCL Queen Square Institute of Neurology.
Co-organisers, Professor Fiona Ducotterd, Alzheimer’s Research UK UCL Drug Discovery Institute, and Doctor Jim Ray, Belfer Neurodegeneration Consortium, MD Anderson Neuroscience Drug Discovery Institute, have curated this one-day Industry Masterclass in Drug Discovery and Development, hosted by Professor Mike Hanna, Director of Queen Square Institute of Neurology and Professor Sarah Tabrizi, Head of UCL Huntington’s Disease Research Centre, this day brings together stakeholders across sectors to share insights about the roles and disciplines that come together to make new medicines.
The event is a full day program of convened executive experts from industry who will present their functions in the long process that moves discoveries towards patients. The day will also feature a panel session on what stakeholders from VC, biotech and pharma look for in an investible program.
Our R&D leader roundtable will debate the current and future landscape for neurodegenerative diseases in the context of current and future disease-modifying therapies. Our keynote speaker will share a personal journey from academic discovery to scientific founder.
The program is intended to build understanding of and celebrate the interdisciplinary expertise that bring together bench to bedside translation of neurology research into new treatments.
