ARUK UCL Drug Discovery Institute Seminar: Dr. Jeffrey Davies
Title: Acylation of ghrelin in brain regeneration; diagnostic & therapeutic opportunities for dementia.
Dr. Jeffrey Davies
University of Swansea
Dr. Davies is an Associate Professor within the Medical School at Swansea University and leads the Molecular Neurobiology group. Based at the Institute for Life Science, his primary research interests focus on the effects of gut peptides in modulating neuroprotective and neuroproliferative mechanisms in the adult mammalian brain. In his talk, Jeff will describe recent progress in characterising the role of ghrelin on regulating brain function – with possible implications for novel therapeutic targets to combat cognitive decline.
