Brain meeting 

Abstract: The brain is predictive and proactive, and helps us interact effectively with our environment. Whether in a stable or unpredictable context, our long-term memories underlie the brain's ability to predict and accurately interact with incoming stimuli. I will present my work on long-term spatial memories in the context of attention, navigation, and individual differences. I will take a slight detour into my work with patients while I was at the FIL, looking at decision making in the context of ongoing evidence integration. I will end on how sleep is crucial to the process of predictive memory formation, and how I aim to tackle the problem of measuring the generalization processes occurring during sleep, in both health and disease.
